Somehow summer is gone and its a crisp 50 degrees outside today. September is a very busy month here at the studio. We’ve got lots of new paper goodies debuting at our September shows (and online very soon!). We’ve also got lots of new wedding invite samples to debut at Zazou’s Bridal Show in Dubuque. Hope to see your smiling faces there!

Sometimes we like to branch out a bit with our projects at the studio. We were contacted by Aubrey at Bride Meets Wedding about an apple-themed wedding shoot, we jumped at the chance to participate!
Hard to believe it is almost halfway through October! September flew by (and I neglected this poor blog). Fall is my favorite season — I love the cooler weather, the pumpkins, baking, and the decorating.
To get the studio in the holiday spirit I stopped by Kroul Farms south of Mount Vernon to pick up some Fall produce. While I was there, these little kitties helped me pick out some pumpkins. I thought about sneaking them home with me, but I only took the pumpkins.
I also convinced my dad (hi dad!) to go ditch diving and gather up some “fuzzies” and some cattails for the front columns (no worries, he knew the farmer whose ditch he was digging through).
I’ve also got some plans in the works for something a bit more ghoulish on the 31st. The City of Lisbon will be hosting their annual Halloweentown and I am pumped. Children are invited to Main Street in Lisbon on October 31st for trick or treating and games. As a kid, my church did a haunted house for years, so I’m looking forward to getting back into the spirit. Look for more on that in the coming weeks!
Until then, happy fall!
Somehow summer has slipped away and it’s September already! Fall is one of my most favorite seasons — I’m looking forward to pumpkin carving, spiced desserts, and, of course, fall themed paper goods…….and that brings us to a fun new paper craft!
Iron Leaf Press is featured in the Fall issue of Inspire(d) Media and they asked us if we’d create a paper craft for their newest issue — read the full issue online. I couldn’t resist something that was Fall and paper related! Follow the jump to get full directions on making your own paper pumpkin favor boxes!
